Cardio tennis is a fun group activity featuring drills to give players of all abilities a heart pumping workout! It is a high-energy group fitness program taught by a Teaching Professional and includes a warm-up, cardio workout, and cool-down phase. Each workshop will count as a full recertification opportunity and will be delivered by Michele Krause, National Cardio Tennis Program Manager, Speaker and Team Director.

Tennis Alberta reminds players that tournament officials and organizers enforce the Tennis Canada Code of Conduct for officiated and unofficiated matches.  Tennis Alberta will be working with tournament organizers and officials to inform, educate, and enforce the Code of Conduct in 2012.  The Code of Conduct is attached below.

Tennis Alberta will be hosting the next instructor course in the spring of 2012.

Weekend #1: April 13-15, 2012 in Calgary (Exact Location TBD, will be communicated to participants prior to course)

Weekend #2: April 27-29, 2012 in Edmonton at the Saville Sports Centre

Registration can be completed online (Under "Registration" please select "Coaching").

New This Year!!! - We will be offering an early entry fee of $425.00 for those who are registered by March 1 (Registration must be received by staff before 4:00pm on Thursday, March 1).  (Entry fee includes Tennis Professionals Association membership fee).  Registration after 4:00pm on March 1 will be increased to $475.00.

 Tennis Alberta hopes to raise awareness of progressive tennis and the official launch of its new "Little Aces" program, a strategy is designed to introduce affordable and accessible tennis programs to children under the age of 12, by attempting to set a world record for the largest red court tournament on April 30, 2012 at the Saville Community Sports Centre.
